My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to THRIVE! ~Maya Angelou

Be bold, be brave, and don’t look back!

Thrive Therapeutics LLC was established in June of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. After working in the behavioral health field for more than 25 years and witnessing the growing need for more community-based, compassionate care, Founder and CEO Kelli Ott reached out to her clinical colleague, Ken Cannon, and said, “Let’s do this!”

Kelli Ott is very familiar with all administrative aspects of the field. After graduating with degrees from the University of Dayton (BA- Psychology) and The Ohio State University (Masters - Social Work Administration), Kelli started her career as an adult and child case manager and quickly moved up through the ranks. She has served as a Family & Children First Council Coordinator, Executive Director of the Preble County Mental Health & Recovery Board and most recently as Vice President of Administrative Services for the largest and most comprehensive Dayton-based behavioral healthcare organization.

Ken Cannon also has an expansive 36-year history in the behavioral health field. He holds two Masters degrees from both the University of Dayton (Psychology) and the University of Cincinnati (Social Work) and is dually credentialed in Chemical Dependency. Ken began his career as a Chemical Dependency Counselor but quickly evolved to supervisory roles that included adolescent residential treatment centers, adult recovery services and most recently as Program Director for an extensive school-based treatment program spanning 21 Dayton-area schools serving more than 600 children.

Throughout their work at all levels of the field, Kelli and Ken have both maintained a passion for serving those battling mental illness or addiction and believe anyone has the ability to THRIVE if given the right tools and determination to do so!
